Following the election on Saturday of Mr Jorge Viegas as FIM President in Andorra la Vella, the FIM Board met on Sunday morning in order to discuss new governance positions.
Mr Viegas will hereby take up the role of acting CEO until the FIM Commissions Conference in February 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr Jacques Bolle has been nominated to the position of FIM Vice-President. Mr Robert Dingam has been named as representative of Continental Unions (CONU).
The Board Committees will be chaired as follows:

New Commission Directors were appointed; Mrs Katia Juarez for the Sustainability Commission (CID) and Mr Jesper Christensen for the Public Affairs Commission (CAP).
A task force, chaired by Mr Per Westling, Secretary General (SG) of the Swedish Federation and composed of several national Federations SGs, was created to report on urgent concerns of national federations (FMN) and continental unions (CONU).
Mr Jorge Viegas, for his first trip as President, will assist to the Dakar departure in Lima, Peru, beginning of January.

We are going in the right direction, putting the National Federations, the Continental Unions and the Commissions in the center of the decisions. I want also to congratulate the new elected members: Mr. Jan Stovicek, Mr. Jacques Bolle and Mr. Giovanni Copioli!” said Mr Viegas, FIM President.
