2025 Trial des Nations - Call for Applicants

Trial des Nations:  September 20-21, 2025 - Tolmezzo, Italy.

 

The Canadian Motorcycle Association would like to make a call to all interested Canadian Trials riders: women of Advanced level and up, and men of Expert level to ride on the 2025 Trial des Nations Team.  We will also be looking for the application for riders or experienced trials enthusiasts for the position of minders, a paddock manager, and a team manager once the riders have been selected.


The 2025 Canadian TdN team will be composed of 3 women, 3 men, up to 4 minders (2 minders each per women’s and men’s teams), 1 Paddock Manager, and 1 Manager.  Anyone with an interest to being included in the team as a rider must apply for the team by the deadline, Friday, February 14.  Interested minders and managers may also apply, but support members will not be selected until after the team is chosen, and have a longer application date of March 7th.


This event highlights teamwork and a team atmosphere. We would like to comprise a team that is able to work together and help raise the level of all members of Team Canada (and trials in Canada as a whole). If you have sent a letter of intent in 2024, you will not be required to submit a full history again,but are encouraged to highlight aspects of your past season, when you send in a mandatory letter of intent. If you are new to the application process,please utilize the below talking points.

 

  • Results, standings in National, International, and/or other signature trials events and local and regional championships, over the past 5 - 10 years.

  • Or, as a support member, what experience do you bring to your position as minder or manager. (May also include results, or role specific experience).

  • 2025 CMA membership number, or application included.

  • What would you bring to this team as a rider, or how would you benefit this team as a support member (minder or manager)?

  • How would your club and Trials community benefit from your inclusion?

  • Contact information for follow up phone call by team management.

  • Minder suggestions, if you have one. (Only 2 minders/team.)

  • Motorcycle plan and availability for yourself, minders, and managers.

  • Active Canadian Passport. (please check the date for 6 months out from travel)

  • a plan for a fundraising initiative that you will lead. (If you have any questions regarding a fundraising initiative, please contact Christy before the application due date).

  

All interested riders send your 2025 CMA member number (or CMA application) and a quick note to the CMA head office that you are interested in being considered. No deposit required to apply. The selected team members will be required to submit a $500 deposit to the team, and a signed contract, to begin the application process immediately.


We also ask that all riders and team be able to carry themselves in good standing and represent the CMA, and support of other motorcycling groups and sponsors that graciously assist our Trials team in a positive light.


New in 2025 - A rider contract, that all parties involved with the team in an official capacity, will be required to sign. Rider expectations will be detailed, and agreed to, once you have been selected to the team.  Expectations include regular meetings and communications within the team, adherence to deadlines for paperwork and travel logistics, along with a social media presence to represent yourself and the 2025 team. Riders will be incentivized to participate in team fundraising activities to be able to take full advantage of the fundraising done by the team.


Please be aware that entry regulations and criteria is far beyond the reach of the CMA and will be dictated by Italian legislation or any connecting countries that you enter during your trip, including your re-entry into Canada. Be prepared to comply with all travel regulations.
